Somaesthetics and Philosophy as a Way of Life: On Camera

To what extent can philosophy be reclaimed as an embodied art of living and take advantage of visual rather than written expression? Experimentation in performative visual media seems especially appropriate for the philosophical field of somaesthetics. This presentation introduces some examples of my recent work in film as part of my effort to revive the idea of the philosophical life while expanding philosophy’s reach and public.
